“The prideful archangel Lucifer disobeys God and is cast into the lowest level of hell as a fallen angel. The issue grew deeper whether the anime would adapt the video game or the new fresh manga, Categorized “Shounen” and on February 2017 a “Seinen” version is being put out by “Media Factory”. With a Manga introduction in August 29th of 2016, Published by Hobby Japan it brought forth light to the people who were getting tired of holding their breath and later confirmed when Visuals once again teased a incoming anime series. Whether this series could be delivered in shorts or OVA’s it remained to be seen. Sin: Nanatsu no Taizai being a series that had over the years been teased to the fans on multiple instances as this series is from a Video Game, It has left us waiting many years because of dilemmas. Who can forget their amazing figurines that radiate quality. This series being far older than the now widely known Netflix’s Seven Deadly Sins, Hobby Japan responsible for series such as Queen’s Blade, Hyakka Ryouran “Samurai Girls” and Demon King Daimaou or “Ichiban Ushiro Daimaou, Whatever it is you have seen, Hobby Japan has a history with high tier Ecchi and Hobby Japan has finally delivered and now this year Spring of 2017 with the help of TNK the studio behind “High School DxD” alongside with Artland. Power in SDS is so one dimensional fights are decided based off of a single number, it's just lazy.Sin: Nanatsu no Taizai “The Seven Mortal Sins” Meruem or Neferpitou or Chrollo express more personality in a single scene than the Commandments express over an entire season.Įdit: I also have to point out that Hunter x Hunter creates and explores an interesting power system that makes fights so much better to watch, both due to the unpredictability and all the cool unique abilities. I can't remember the name of a single one of them. The Ten Commandments on the other hand were bland and disappointing. Meruem and the Royal Guards are incredible, and the Phantom Troupe aren't far behind. The story and themes of the best arc is told through the villains, not the heroes. Of my top five characters from the show, at least four and maybe all would be villains. Where Hunter x Hunter excels though, is where SDS fails utterly. The story isn't anything special in either show (with the exception of the Chimera Ant arc, which blows anything else out of the water and might be my favorite single story ever written). Music is great in both of them, but I prefer Hunter x Hunter's OST because of how classical-inspired it is. To be honest if they made a side story about Ban, I'd watch it in a heartbeat.

I definitely prefer Hunter x Hunter's main characters, and I think they are explored better, but I like Meliodas and the gang as well, and Ban is awesome to watch. (though I've only seen the first two seasons of SDS, but I hear the third isn't a sudden jump in quality)Īs far as protagonists go, you could argue either.
